When you think of a country that has the best beers, great chocolate and perfect fries, Belgium will probably pop up in your mind. The amount of bars and terraces you can find these products are a real treat for anyone. Besides these fan favorites, you can find very cute cities with beautiful old buildings and some good nature in the Ardennes. The country is divided in a French, Dutch and (very small) German speaking part.

The country is small, but still has 11.5 million inhabitants, which makes it a very densely populated country in Western Europe. People often visit the country in combination with other nations, which makes sense, but you can also have great times only visiting Belgium. 

I personally visited Belgium often, but often short weekends as the country is very close to my birthplace Amsterdam. A lot of cities have very gorgeous city centres and cute areas to visit. A weekend in most cities will be enough to see its charm and sights. The cities may be similar, but are recommended to all be visited.
