Hongkong

This page is under construction.

Hong Kong is a huge city and worth a visit. It has difficult connections with China as it was independent, but it is not any more. I have not been to China, so this page is only about Hong Kong. You can be in and around the city for 10 days and still have so much to see and do! There are many different sights to visit, from markets to views and from temples to parks.

Hong Kong is located southeast of China, and it is a huge metropole. It is the densest city in the world. The city is divided into 236 islands, with big differences in the islands. Hongkong Island and Kowloon are the most populated and important of the city and are the islands you will be the most during your time in Hongkong with an additional trip to other islands. The population consists of around 7.2 million people, but there are areas where you don't have a clue that it is a metropole. Hong Kong has the most skyscrapers in the world, 2.5 times the amount of skyscrapers in comparison to New York.

The city has an Asian and Western feeling at the same time. When I visited the city, it became my favourite city I ever visited, as it has so many differences between cultures so close to each other. I visited Hong Kong for 10 days, when it was still independent from China, so I am not sure how much it has changed in recent years. I travelled there by public transport and used the perfect subway, which is the best I have ever experienced. You can be throughout the city very fast.

So if you are a fan of different cultures, different kinds of sights, great food, and some chaos, Hong Kong is a perfect trip for a long while to enjoy your holiday. If you want more information on things to do, check out:
