Former Yugoslavia

Former Yugoslavia is made up of the countries of Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Croatia, and Slovenia. I visited Montenegro, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia. I will give you things to do in these countries and a combined itinerary. There will be some extra information in certain cities.

In former Yugoslavia, there are some great cities, lovely nature, and some fantastic culture. The history of the war is a scar in the countries, which all have a different story about the happenings.

We travelled through these countries by public transport, and it was a great experience. The countries are well connected, and you see a lot going through this beautiful part of the world. We were here for a month, and that was an amazing experience. We were in the summer, which may be hot, but the vibe is fantastic. To learn more about this fantastic part of Europe, take a look at:

Bosnia and Herzegovina

Bosnia and Herzegovina has a cruel recent history, which is interesting while visiting for example Sarajevo.

Montenegro

Montenegro is a small country with lovely old cities at the coast and great hiking opportunities.

Serbia

Serbia is the biggest country in former Yugoslavia and is now mostly visited through the mighty capital Belgrade.

Slovenia

Slovenia will surprise you with unbelievable nature. The forests, lakes, and mountains are fantastic to visit.
