Portugal

Over the last couple if years, Portugal has become one of the most popular countries to visit. The history, port, lovely people, pleasant climate and great things to see make this country worth a visit. The culture of Portugal is stunning with fantastic Fado, tasty Pastel de Nata and other delicious food. I travelled here with the cities of Lisbon and Porto as a base and did some day trips from there.

Portugal lies in the most Southern East part of mainland Europe and that gives them a big and rough coastline as they are on the Atlantic Ocean. The country has around 10 million inhabitants divided over many cities and areas, where the capital Lisbon and Porto are the biggest.

I came in to Portugal by public transport and that was also my way of travelling in the country. I stayed in Lisbon and Porto and discovered the country from here. I visited the country for 10 days, which is not enough to discover the whole country, so I have not visited the South of the country. I was here in May, which is perfect as the temperatures are not that crazy hot, but mostly lovely and there are not as many tourists as in the summer.

If you are a fan of some wine, castles, great food and lovely temperatures, this country should be on your bucket list! If you want to know more about this country, check out:
